I help turn complex technology into services that people can put to work.
I’ve spent more than 17 years working with satellite communications and enterprise networks, from technical design to the commercial side of bringing services to market. I’m interested in technology that solves practical problems and stands up to everyday use.
How I work
I start with the customer’s operating environment: what needs to work, what can’t change, and what happens when something goes wrong. From there, I work through the design, prove it in practice and build a service that can be delivered repeatedly.
I’m comfortable discussing the business case with executives and working through the engineering with technical teams. I still spend time in labs, building prototypes and testing ideas. It helps keep the conversation grounded.

Practical networking
Networks that are secure, resilient and straightforward to operate. I like designs that fit the environment, make sensible use of what’s already there and are easy to support.
Practical edge computing
Running useful applications close to where the data is created. I enjoy building prototypes and exploring how local analytics and compact systems can solve problems without sending everything to the cloud.
